Authentication of Documents

The documents to be authenticated issued by the Authorities in Sri Lanka should be attested by the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka in Colombo, prior to obtaining attestation at this Consulate.

The documents to be authenticated issued by the UAE Authorities should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE, prior to obtain attestation at this Consulate.

The applicants shall bring two sets of copies of the documents to be authenticated together with the original and a copy will be retained by the Consulate. The applicant shall also bring the original passport and a copy of the passport.

Fee shall be paid by cash and please note that cheques will not be accepted.

Important: Please note that:

Submission of forged documents and making false declarations relating to citizenship is a punishable offence. Fees will not be refunded in these circumstances.
