Employers hiring house maids from Sri Lanka for work in the United Arab Emirates are required to register incoming workers in the Consulate General of Sri Lanka for Dubai and Northern Emirates after obtaining entry permits from Immigration Authorities in UAE and before entering to UAE as they will not be able to embark from Colombo Airport. This is compulsory requirement stipulated by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
